Located on a small headland leaning to the East, this is the administrative centre of the region and is a land rich with history – and a wealth of art treasures which are of great interest. The majestic presence of the Federico II of Sweden Castle, with its symbolic remains of Baroque stucco work and decorations together with Romanesque buildings such as the San Sabino Cathedral and the famous San Nicola Basilica, a majestic example of ecumenicalism, where both catholic and orthodox are celebrated.
